Paw Paw Village Players One-Acts Festival

Every year for the last twenty-one years, the Paw Paw Village Players has held our one-act play festival. This has always been a playwright contest, complete with cash prizes. It has also been a golden opportunity for first-time actors, techies and playwrights to “get their feet wet” in the theater. Or even for seasoned actors who just don’t have the kind of time needed to participate in full length plays due to that whole “life” thing.

For Writers:

We are sorry but the submission deadline for scripts has passed. Watch our website starting around October 2018 for next year’s solicitation.

For Actors:

If you are a veteran actor and would love to get back up on the stage, but just don’t have a lot of time to invest, this is a great show. You can accept a role in one short play or as many as you like (at the directors’ discretion).  If you have never been on the stage, this is an awesome way to get your feet wet.  It’s also a good way to just keep honing your acting skills. Auditions are January 28th and 29th at 7 PM at the Freshwater Community Church Mainstage.

Stagehands & Techies:

Volunteer help is ALWAYS welcome.  Extra hands on stage between acts or in our tech booth are fun ways to be involved in the theater. If you are interested in one of these rewarding positions, please come to the auditions. It also wouldn’t hurt to fill out our volunteer form.

As you can see, the Paw Paw Village Players One-Acts Festival has plenty of great opportunities.  Don’t miss out!  Let us know what your theater interest is and we will find something for you!
